I took the exam for Registered Dietitians yesterday at CSI in Twin Falls and I passed! Yay! Soon, I will get a certificate in the mail that says I am officially a Registered Dietitian. It is such a relief to have it done with, and I am so thankful for Cameron and all his support. He has supported me the last 4 years while I have put almost all my energies into my studies, even though he sometimes wondered why I was going into a profession that is so difficult and does not have many jobs. Yesterday morning before I left, I saw a note on the fridge that Cameron wrote the night before. He was wishing me luck and telling me how proud he was of me, and he went to the store last night to buy pomegranate juice. He made it last night so I could drink it this morningm he said it was supposed to stimulate my mind. He is so cute! So thanks to my studying, mine and my families' prayers, and that juice, I was able to pass the test!
I am still enjoying my summer, although I kind of feel like a bum! Hopefully I will be able to find a job soon! This weekend we are going to the Twin Falls Temple, as we both work with the youth in the ward and they are in charge of the slippers for the open house today. We are also working on talks today because we get to speak tomorrow in church. Ah, the joys of being new in a ward! :)

My new friend
So, it has been kind of hard for me to make good friends since being married for several reasons, one being that I do not "hang out" with girl friends very often. Well, today I met a great girl named Kayla at a basketball tournament in Twin Falls. Both of our husbands happened to be on the same 3 on 3 team, as they each had a friend who were mission companions togehter. Kayla and I sat together watching our boys play throughout the day and really hit it off. Although we do not have a lot of hobbies in common (she is an awesome basketball player and likes to fish and rodeo)we were both jamming to the music blaring through the loud speakers and we just had a ton to talk about. It is so neat when two people can hit if off so quickly and feel like they are life-long friends. They live in Gooding, but her family lives in Burley, so hopefully we will see them again!

Kayla and I getting some sun and watching our boys play ball.

Cameron getting ready to score! Their team got third, unfortunately, but they played awesome and made their wives proud!

Happy Anniversary to us!
Today is me and Cameron's 4th wedding anniversary. I can't believe we have been married 4 years! He is such a good guy, and I made a really good choice even though I was really young when I got married. These are obviously some of our wedding pictures. I look at them and think, "I had no idea what I was doing," I have learned so much in the last 4 years and I can honestly say I am older and wiser. I do love being married though!

Our evening hike
So, for an early anniversary present, Cameron gave me this cool camelbak for hiking. We decided we needed to try it out so instead of laying around our house all evening, we drove up past Pomerelle ski resort last night (40 minutes away) to go for a hike for a couple hours. It was such a beautiful evening, and we hiked to Cleveland lake and back to our car. We also saw an awesome view of the Albion valley, and it was just so fun! It is so nice being out of school and being able to go do whatever we want in the evenings. I love summer!!

Our Garden
This is our garden, which, as you may notice, is the the only landscaping in our yard. Planting our garden was one of the first things we did here when we moved, as Cameron is pretty obsessed with having one and seeing it grow. We have had a garden every year we have been married, and we usually plant it in March! Cameron takes such good care of it, and I help him, but I must say, having a garden this big is a lot of work. Weeding is quite the chore, but it will be worth it when we harvest the vegetables and herbs and can the tomatoes, salsa, and beans. We are also growing strawberries, raspberries, corn, peppers, squash, cantelope, brocolli, lettuce, and herbs such as chives, oregeno, mint, cilantro, and thyme. Stay tuned for future blogs about me canning and preserving our bounty!
This is my little flower garden that I am so proud of because I have taken care of it all by myself. I thought I couldn't keep plants alive, but these flowers are looking so good! I guess Cameron and I both have green thumbs!
