More Pictures from our trip

I have not had that exciting of week so I am going to post some more great pictures from our recent vacation. Like I said in the last post, I have 1100 to choose from and there are some good ones. I have been in training these last two weeks, and I have been learning a lot. Wells Fargo is a good bank, so if any of you do not have an account, get on it! :)
Cameron and I have been doing some canning; we have bottled about 90 pints of green beans. It was a lot of work, and unfortunately we did not take any pictures. My mom is so proud of me for canning, and one main reason for that is the fact that I seemed to have no "domestic" bone in my body when I lived at home. Now I love to cook and do a few other domestic things. Some things I wish I had an interest in: scrapbooking (Cameron makes photshows instead), decorating, sewing, and throwing parties. Some stuff you just can't teach. (sigh)
Anyway, here are some pictures of our trip!

Our Glacier Trip

So all last week, we were gone on a vacation to Clacier National Park in Northern Montana. For those of you who know us well, you know that we go on a big camping/road trip every summer. Well, due to gas prices and the fact we bought a house this year, we cut our trip to one week and brought friends along. Rather, we went with them. The Hollingsworths are our friends from Pocatello--Cameron and Blake were pretty good basketball and studying buddies. They have three small children (ages 4, 3, and 1 1/2), and we all fit in their minivan to go on this trip. It was quite the adventure. The first night, Cameron had the genius idea that we would drive all night so the kids would sleep. Well, no one slept and we arrived to White Fish, Mt, where we would be camping at 4 a.m. We were exhausted and we tried to sleep a few hours in the van, parked ourside of the campground. Needless to say, we were not very rested but boy did we make some memories that first night! For those of you who have never been to Glacier, I totally recommend it. It was a beautiful park with tons of waterfalls, wildlife, and amazing views. We saw big-horn sheep, mountain goats, deer, and bear . . . droppings. We could have seen a bear. These pictures are but a taste of our adventures. I had a lot to chose from as between Cameron and Blake, we had 1100 pictures. Wow!

It may be hard to see, but this is me with big-horn sheep right behind me. There was about a dozen of them wandering through on of the parking lots. At one point they almost stampeded right over the Hollingsworth kids.

Cameron made us wonderful dinners--he is an excellent dutch oven cook.

I forgot to mention that we went to Canada one of the days, as were only staying 2 hours away from the border. This is the Alberta Temple in Cardston, a town right inside Canada.

We met up with Cameron's mission companion in Cardston, Alberta. Danny Bennet and Cameron were AP's together for 6 months. It was neat to spend time with he and his wife and eat the best pizza we had ever had.

My news

I have two good pieces of news to share and one is that my sister is getting married. She is marrying Brett McKinnon on September 27. I have not seen her since she graduated high school in May and now she is getting married! Wow! Congratulations you guys! My other news is that I finally got a job. I will be a teller at Wells Fargo, and I start tomorrow. No, it is not in my field but it is a job and we need the money. I am still looking for part time work in dietetics so we will see. Hopefully I can be a teller and a dietitian.

Twin Falls Temple Trip

Wow, that title has a a lot of "T's." About a week and a half ago, Bruce and Kathy, Cameron's parents, picked us up and we drove to the Twin Falls Temple for the open house. Brooklyn, Cameron's sister, and her husband, Andy, just moved to Mountain Home (almost 2 hours from us) after Dental School in Richmond, Virginia. It is nice being closer to them now and it was fun to all get together for the evening and enjoy the beautiful temple. I was amazed at how open the tour guides were with what goes on in the temple and the spirit in there was amazing. What a blessing it is to live in Burley at this time when the stakes in Southern Idaho are preparing for the dedication and youth celebration. It is a great opportunity for missionary work and we have enjoyed speaking with our neighbors about the open house.
