Court Day and Sealing Day

On April 6, Jacoby's adoption was finalized! My dad, who is a magistrate in a different county in Idaho, got to come to our town to complete the adoption. He was just shy of two months old, so it was so quick and everything went so smooth. We have been blessed with a very smooth adoption. He is now officially "Jacoby Ron Foster." We will even get a new birth certificate with us as the parents as if I gave birth to him. Pretty cool. Our birth mother, Christina, has been really great with all of this too, so what a blessing.



Yesterday, on April 14, was Jacoby's sealing at the Twin Falls temple! It was such a wonderful day and I was really emotional. I am not usually that way, but wow, what a powerful spirit in the sealing room. For those of you who are not familiar with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, we believe that families can be together not just in this life, but in the eternities after we die. There are special ordinances performed in the temples of our church, and the sealing ordinance is one that can be done for living families and for ones who have passed away (by proxy). Cameron and I were sealed together for time and all eternity when we were married in the temple and children born to us would automatically be sealed to us as well. Because Jacoby was adopted, we got to go to the temple to have him sealed to us once his adoption was final. Our special friends and family were in the room with us. What a great day!

Things have been great at the Foster house. Cameron is still home as he has a driver up in North Dakota driving right now and we have had a lot of fun enjoying Jacoby and getting ready for spring and summer. Of course Cameron is planting a huge garden and has hundreds of plants started in our garage in the green house he made.
Jacoby is so much fun and Cameron and I are enjoying being his mom and dad. I know when we have more kids (hopefully)they will not get quite the camera attention that our first gets, but I think that's normal, right? We just love to take pictures of our little guy.

A few weeks ago, our niece and nephew, Daxton and Ashlyn came to our house for our afternoon. Their parents met us in Twin Falls and this picture is from the way home. It was so fun having 3 kids in our pick-up and Ashlyn, who is 3, was such a big helper and even fed Jacoby his bottle on the way home.
