Forgot one picture!

First of all, if you hear some new "Music" on my blog now, it is all my husband's fault. He said he felt he needed to contribute more and really he was just bored at work, and he added "Real Men of Genius." They are actually really funny so enjoy. With my last post, I forgot to post after pictures. Here is Cameron's closet. I promise we do share a bedroom, but Cameron's closet is in the spare bedroom cuz we both have too many clothes! I also should have posted a "before" picture of the closets, but they were just basic with one rod all the way across.

New 'do and More projects!

Last week, Cameron decided our closets needed to be re-done. He got really nice tools from his parents for Christmas, and since then, he has done all sorts of projects! It has been great, except for the last week, all of our clothes were in piles throughout the house. I am kind of a clean freak, and it was so frustrating. Since the project to put shelves and extra rods in the closests was not my idea, he did it mostly by himself with the help of our neighbor, Josh. Josh is 14 years old and one of Cameron's young men in our ward. Cameron is over all the 14-15 year old boys in our ward. Josh comes over a lot for dinner and homework help, and we enjoy his company. We also enjoy his help with projects!



On Saturday, I finally got my hair cut! I have been needing to get it done for about a month, so by the time I was finally in proximity to scissors, I told her to cut if off rather than trim it. She also weaved about three different colors into my hair, plus my own natural color. It feels so healthy now and I really just needed a change. Cameron laughs at me when I talk about getting sick of my hair because he cannot understand why girls always want to change their hair. I told him, "Because we can. It's the one thing we can change immediately." Cameron has had the same side part since the 7th grade, so he just doesn't understand. Oh well. We love each other cuz we're just so different!

Our weekend project

On Saturday Cameron and I finally painting one wall in our living room. We have been meaning to do it for a few months, but you know how the holidays are. After finally deciding on which two colors to do for foux painting and watchig a video on the "raggin" technique, we felt ready to try it out. THe base coat is called "Thyme" and the top coat that we "ragged" on is called "parsley." Neither one of us really enjoy painting, and we did have some difficult moments. But overall, the weekend was a success and we love how it turned out. It's amazing how a little paint can transform a room.

We used cheese cloth to dab the top coat onto the dried base coat. It was a lot faster than rolling the rag onto the wall, which was our original plan.

We got a white Christmas!

Cameron and I have enjoyed the Christmas season. We drove to Firth to be with my family Christmas eve and Christmas Day, and we left in the afternoon to spend a few hours in Aberdeen so we could see everyone and exchange gifts there. There was a snowstorm that day as most of you know, and trying to get to Cameron's parent's house was pretty exciting. The only way we made it out of Aberdeen was by following a tractor that was kindly making a path. We were in our Stratus, and we were wishing we were in our pick-up with 4-wheel drive. From American Falls back to Burley normally takes us 45 minutes at the most, and it took us 2 hours that night. The roads were horrible! Needless to say, we were glad to make it home in one peace. Unfortunately, I had to work the next day, or we would have just stayed put. While visiting family, we had a great time and we were blessed with many great gifts. Cameron loves shopping for Christmas presents for some reason, and he really spoiled me with some great stuff. Thanks babe!
