As some of you know and many of you have guessed, Cameron and I have been trying to get pregnant for a long time without success. Well, after fertility treatments last summer, I got this amazing prompting that we were supposed to go another direction. WE ARE ADOPTING! We just got approved with LDS family services today and it has been quite a long process, mainly our own fault. We are just so excited to begin this new chapter in our lives and pray that the special spirit that is supposed to come to our home is not too far away!

Our lazy dog
Oakley LOVES the bath tub! We get home from work and he goes straight to the bathroom, hops in the tub, and barks for us to turn the water on a trickle so he can get a drink. Then he plugs the tub with his paw and lays in the puddle of water. Well, the other night, I got up to go to the bathroom around 2 a.m. and Oakley was asleep in the tub! He usually just sleeps on his dog bed in the living room if we let him sleep inside. when I flipped on the light, he barely lifted his head and layed back down. The next day, he took a nap in the tub so we finally got a picture of it. Pretty soon, he will be too big for the bath tub!

I also thought I would post some pictures of our four-wheeler ride last weekend. We went with Campbells, a couple in our ward that are our parents' ages! They actually know my parents from their U of I days when my dad was in law school. They are really fun to hang out and are empty nesters just like us as their youngest just got married. We drove out to the edge of the desert and drove the four-wheelings a total of 60 miles in the desert going to two different caves. It was muddy and rainy and cold, but that is just how our spring has been, so oh well!

Memorial Day "summer" camping
Last weekend, we had the idea to go camping with Cameron's sister Bridget and her husband Marcus. And of course our dogs, Ace and Oakley. It rained all week but we were optimistic for the weekend. Anyway, we drove to Bone, Idaho to camp on Saturday morning bright and early as Bridget and Marcus had gotten there the night before. The temperature was a warm 32 degrees and it was snowing! We couldn't get the pick-ups up the trail to where we were camping so we had to load everything onto the 4-wheelers and take them up a mile and a half trail in the mud. Needless to say, Saturday was miserable, and we kept saying, "what are we doing?" Oakley was shivering and so muddy and wet and I felt the same way. Thankfully, Sunday and Monday were warmer and there was no rain or snow so we were able to go 4-wheeler riding and enjoy being outside. I wish I would have gotten a picture of Cameron, Oakely, and I on the 4-wheeler. He did pretty good for his first time!
Check our the mud on those 4-wheelers!
Ace and Oakely playing tug-o-war with a piece of bark. They had a great time together but Ace really wore Oakley out.
Bridget in our "kitchen" area starting to cook a meal. Notice the winter coat. It was cold!
Marcus sprained his ankle on his motor-cycle so Cameron was helping him fish in the pond while he had his foot in the water.
This is the inside of our tent in the second room. We closed off the partition at night and turned on our propane heater at night, so we stayed toasty warm. Oakely probably could have slept 12 hours if we let him.
Oakley was having a nap in the tent (such a puppy) but he poked his head out when he heard us calling for Ace.
The three of us in front of the pond that Cameron's dad dug several years ago for his family to enjoy. Foster Farms used to own the ranch up there.
The pick-up as we were loading up to go home. So muddy!
