new exciting job!

I have been meaning to post a new entry for a few days now, but things have been crazy! I have been trying to change my blog template several times lately, but I keep getting error messages. So for now I have a boring template until I get some help from the experts.
So I have some great news! I was offered a job on Thursday! And now just any job, mind you--a full time dietitian position in a long term care company! I was not looking for a job, as I was so sure that nothing was going to turn up in this area for a while. A lady in my ward told me about this opening in Twin, and I thoughtI would be stupid not to at least look into it. I felt pretty confident after the first interview, but when I found out I was going to be the only dietitian for two very busy care centers/nursing homes owned by the same company, and that they were offering way better compensation than the hospital dietitian positions in the area, I knew I did not have a prayer? Why would they hire me when I am fresh out of school?
Well, I have learned over the last few days that God has a plan for me, and this is something I am supposed to do. Everything has just fallen into place, and I feel so humble and greatful. This is not what I planned for this stage in my life, but here I am and I am trying to have faith.
My manager and coworkers at Wells Fargo are shocked that I am leaving after only working here for two months, but they understand and I hope there will be no ill feelings.

As a side subject, my sister, Brianna, is getting married next Saturday, and her reception is Friday night from 5-7 p.m. in my parent's backyard. It is the homecoming football game that night, and if any of you are planning on beig in Firth that weekend, please stop by my parent's house so I can say hi. Hopefully the weather will be good for my sister that day!

Labor Day trip

It has been a little while since I have updated my blog, but I am not very good at taking pictures! Luckily my brother Vance is a newly obsessed photographer and he took pictures while we were in Provo last Sunday and Monday for a much needed Boyer get together. We have not ever gone anywhere as a whole family since I moved out of the house, and it was an opportunity to get away together before Brianna gets hitched and Vance moves back up to college. We were supposed to go to Seven Peaks, a water park in Provo, on Monday, but it was raining and the park was closed. Instead, we took advantage of our time together and played laser tag and miniature golf on Monday. I love my family and have really missed them the last three months we have been away from everyone.

My "little" brother, Vance, and me. He does not normally have this shaggy of hair, but he had a bet with one of his roommates!

The boys playing ball after arriving at our hotel. I guess this is how Cameron initiated Brett, Brianna's fiance, into the family.

The Boyer kids and Cameron in one hotel room laughing and looking at Vance's pictures from his 4 day backpacking trip.

We played "Apples to Apples" Sunday night, and it was fun laughing until we were crying!

We all played miniature golf, and it took us forever to get through one hole. My mom won! And we were so sure Cameron was going to win because he kep sneaking to the next hole to practice his putts!

We ate at Olive Garden in Layton at Braden's request, and the waitress was nice enough to take this picture for us!
