Basketball is Dangerous!

BEFORE--SO SAD.

AFTER--ALL STITCHED UP!
Last night about 9:15 p.m., I got a call from Cameron at the church, where he had been playing a church basketbal game. "Hey, I need to go to the hospital and get stitches. Wanna come?" he said so calmly and I said, "What?" He came home with blood all over his jersey and he said the floor had puddles of blood on it because he tried to keep playing after another player collided with him and split open the area above his eye. The other player got hurt, too. I have never been to the E.R. before and it is not something I had on my list of things I wanted to do, but we went and it was actually fine. Cameron's friend from basketball was the E.R. doctor and he treated Cameron really well and got him all stitched up. Cameron HATES needles, but he was really brave and only flinched a little! He was actually the one who said I needed to take pictures of this experience!

Oh man, that is a nasty cut:( Eye wounds bleed a ton. It's always good to document these kind of things!

OUCH! Church ball can get pretty intense. Garret comes home with bruises all the time. Boys will be boys! At least his eyebrow will hide the scar!

Cameron,
You know the saying, "use you head," in basketball really doesn't mean to use your head. I'm glad you're still playing on the hard wood. I'm on the competitive varsity league at BYU-I. It has been a lot of fun. Continue to take care of your man, Vanessa. We miss you guys.
