Our little Miracle

Today was an amazing day. Our wonderful, amazing birth mother gave birth via c-section today at 8 a.m. eastern time. We were in the waiting room with the case worker when C's boyfriend, R, rushed into the waiting room to come get us. Baby had just gone into the nursery to get cleaned up and we got to watch the whole thing. R kept telling us congratuions and told us we had a beautiful son. I think I just stood there staring in shock. Our son? He was so beautiful and big! Jacoby Ron Foster. 8 lbs 4 oz at 39 weeks gestation. 20 inches long. Healthy lungs. :)

The morning flew by as friends and family of C came by to see her and to tell US congratulations. It was pretty neat. C's grandmother and great aunt were hilarious as they oohed and awwed over the baby. They bought us gifts as well and one was a onesie that says "Somebody in Pine Bush loves You." (Pine Bush is where everyone lives). So sweet.

C recovered well from the surgery and we finally got to see her 2 hours after Jacoby was born. She said the c-section wasn't that bad. She's pretty tough. We spent most of the rest of the day passing jacoby around and talking. Cameron and i got alone time with him this afternoon and it was very precious. We will go back and visit in the morning. It's been a wonderful day!
