Spring

The last month has been busy and  there have been several nice days where we have been able to get out of the house and play outside! Yay! The first time Jacoby crawled around outside in March was priceless. Everything was new to him and I loved watching him discover the world from all fours. Yep, he is still crawling, not walking. He is almost 15 months old. Oh well. He gets where he wants to go and pulls himself up to cupboards, drawers, furniture, and everything else so my house is pretty much always destroyed. He is so much fun though and it is great to hear him mimic us and learn new words. Currently he says (not clearly) "all done," "all gone," ball and dog (both "guh" but we know what he means) and "uh-oh." He also points and says "this" (sounds like "dis) when he wants something. When he is hungry, he signs "more" although we are working on "please" and "eat" signs instead. More is just easier, I guess. He still loves to eat and I am amazed at how much he eats at each meal. He is getting picky, which is unfortunate, but will try almost everything on his tray, often spitting right back out. Hey, at least he tries it. He eats fruit at every meal, and his consistent foods are any fruit, cheese, and ham.

Cameron was gone most of April but has been home this last week and we love having daddy home. Jacoby has Cameron wrapped around his little finger and Jacoby always knows he can demand candy from daddy and he will give it to him. (sigh.)

Besides just hanging out with Jacoby at home this past month, we have visited family in nearby towns, and I worked on the books for the business furiously  before the IRS tax deadline. I had to be trained by a quickbooks expert to get it done but hopefully this year will be a lot easier! We also went to my Grandma Boyer's funeral this past Saturday. She was almost 94 and passed away basically due to old age. She was an amazing woman and I am so glad she is in a better place, where she can be with her husband she lost to cancer 26 years ago. The funeral and luncheon afterward were more like a party where all but 4 of the 41 grandchildren were able to attend, many flying in from all over the country. Never again will that many of us be together so we spent a lot of time reminiscing and visiting. I am sure my grandma was hoping the day would go just that way.
Here are a few pictures:
 First real hair-cut in March
 Brushing teeth before bed time
Watching a movie on the I-pad with daddy
He loves smoothies and gets them almost every day.
Watching Baby Einstein on tv. One of the only times he sits still.
 Swinging at the park
 Reading stories with cousin, Coleston
Looking at his Easter basket. Obviously the candy was more
important than the bunny sitting on top.
Getting stuck in the bar stool going after his ball
Practicing walking at Famous Daves restaurant this past week
While I worked on Friday, Cameron and Jacoby mowed the lawn together
Pool time! It was such a beautiful on Friday
