For those of you who know me well, you will know that I have always been into fitness and exercise. I went into the health professions because I have always been fascinated by the human body and how we can help ourselves be more healthy and feel good about ourselves. I love to dance, but I never do it anymore (unless you count the infrequent rock-out sessions in my living room when I am home alone). I still run for exercise, though, and it is a great sport cuz you can do it all your life, it is cheap, and it is always accessible (just walk out your door and go). Well, I have been so diligent all these years making time for my runs, but lately, I am slacking! I am gone about 12 hours a day Monday through Thursday--I commute to Twin Falls and work 10 hour days--and when I get done I am just so tired. It is also getting dark and I just don't feel safe. What's my solution to this problem?
Well, you know my husband, Cameron? He is anti-running, unless it is 93 feet with a basketball in his hands. Well, he currently thinks he is gaining weight and he said he wanted to start running for exercise. I just nodded and said, "Okay, that would be great" but I knew he would never start running with me. I am happy to say that he has gone with me a few times, and I absolutely loved it! He had a pretty good time too! I had someone to talk to, I felt safe, and we got some quality time with each other. We went running on Saturday morning together, and it is now one of my fondest memories of us together. (Am I lame or what?) Because Cameron always teases me about loving my water bottle and sports bra more than him, I told him Saturday morning, "Here I am with the two things I love most--my sports bra and my husband."
So stay tuned to see if we ever go running together again. Who knows? He may really get into it. It is a pretty addicting form of exercise and stress relief. For those of you who exercise, I would love to hear some inspiring advice!

Vanessa,
That is so great! I wish Dan & I had to time to work out together. I am like you and have always loved to exercise (especially in the dance studio). Dan has mentioned getting us bikes (Braxton already having one) in the future, so we can go together as a family...I hope it is soon!
That's awesome Ness! I bet Adam wishes I ran with him...probably not. He's actually offered to go to aerobics with me though ha ha! I'm glad you can do that with each other, hopefully it will become a habit.
Cameron and Vanessa,
That is so cool Vanessa that you got Cameron to go running with you. I enjoy running myself but I haven't gone fore quite a long time. When Julie and I were in Saint George we went once or twice and it was so much fun.
I hope all is going well with you guys. Our family is great. Spencer is gettingn so big. I measured him about a week ago and he was 26.5 inches tall. He is only 3 months and a couple weeks. I am excited for his future. Jaicee is also doing well although she is experiencing the terrible two's. I love to watch them on my days off from school. They bring a lot of joy into my life.
Julie is as amazing as always. She works one day a week which gives her some well deserved time away from home. She is such a great mother.
I'm sure you two like where you are in life. I miss those Saturdays on the court with you Cameron, but I'm sure you're still on the court having fun in your spare time.
Take care! We wish you two the best during this time of the year.
Vanessa,

Kaylene
