What a Blessing

Okay, I know I already posted today, but tonight I was involved in the most excellent, spiritual "Young Women in Excellence" and I just had to post my feelings.
When I was in Young Womens, I felt I gained a testimony of the temple, and we were so blessed to have one so close in Idaho Falls. But after listening to each of my beautiful young women share their testimonies tonight of what it was like to participate in the youth temple celebration, be in the presence of the prophet, and help serve in the temple open house, I realize my testimony in high school was pretty darn weak. These girls have learned through these experiences this year how special and important the temple really is, and they all expressed hope of marrying in the temple someday and coming back often with their spouse. It made me realize how much I take for granted that I am endowed and can go to the temple any time I want. Too often, I feel that it is "just one more thing" I need to fit in my month. Today I vow that I will serve in the temple more often with a glad heart, and I hope I can be an example to my children someday, that they will also want to be sealed in the temple.

That sounds like a wonderful evening of testimonies. I remember how excited and faithful the people were in Twin Falls when they announced that temple while we lived there. I've been feeling guilty lately because here we live a mile from the temple now and I haven't been since Brett and Brianna's wedding.

Thank you for posting that. I loved serving in the young womens and also had my most spiritual experiences in there. That's awesome that you were able to gain from their testimonies.
How is your job going? I'm sorry that I didn't get another chance to talk to you during Thanksgiving. I really hope you are doing well, Ness. Thank you for always being an example to me. You have helped me in so many ways, I"m sure without your knowledge. Love ya! Good thing we're related or we'd never see each other :)
