So a few weekends ago for Valentines Day, Cameron suggested we go to Jackson Hole, WY, to go on a wagon ride through the elk reserve. He had heard it was pretty neat, so we called up our camping buddies, the Hollingsworths, that live in Pocatello, and we set it up. Cameron and I got to stay the Friday night in Firth with my family, and then the Hollingsworths picked us up the next morning. We are experts with traveling with this family, and we just snuggled right in with a car seat between us and the pop-down T.V. playing "Tinker Bell." It was awesome! We spent the day in the beautiful winterland of Jackson (there was a ton of snow up there) and we saw a lot of elk. Before we got to the wagons, we were watching the elk from across the field with our binnoculars, and we saw several wolves on all sides of the elk herds. I guess they pick off about seven elk a week. I was way surprised by that, but hey that is nature for you. It was neat to see wolves even if they were far away. Anyway, here are a few pics from our fun Valentines Day adventure. I guess we are through with the romanatic dates--bring on the three screaming kids squished with us into one car!

Here are our horses "Sam" and "Ann" (I think that is their names) along with Lindsey, Cameron and Braden.

Here is a view of the 2000+ elk in this one area. It was snowing during our ride, which made it more fun.

Some of the bull elk were huge!

Our guide who entertained us with stories and facts about the area and elk. The kids were actually lulled to sleep in the wagon, snow and everything. I guess it is kind of an expensive nap!
