Mcall Weekend Trip

This last weekend, Cameron and I went with Cameron's sister, Brooklyn, and her family to Mcall, ID, for the winter festival. The Special Olympic world games were also going on up there, and we saw athletes from several countries staying in our hotel. It is such a cute touristy town, and there was so much snow! Every year, they have a ice sculpute contest, and professionals come from all over to build these amazing snow sculptures all around town. This year was also the first ever "Snow-bike" competition, and it is pretty much motocross on the snow. The motorcycles have snowmobile skiis and tracks on them, and I guess it is a pretty new sport. Now we can say that we went to the first ever competition in the world. Here are several (sorry, bear with me) pictures of the trip. We just had so much fun and thanks Brooklyn and Andy for letting us go with you. Even riding in the mini-van on that windy road was awesome!

We drove to Mountain Home to Brooklyn and Andy's house and stayed the night on Friday. We had fun cuddling with the kids! That is just precious!

At the starting line of the Snow Bike race. The winners of each heat got to compete against professional motocross racers.

A lone rider. The bikes were way loud and we had a great view.

Baby Ashlyn somehow slept through all the noise. Notice we caught a shot of a racer behind me.

"Blue Marshmallow" Ashlyn was so cute in her snowsuit, but she got a little warm!

This is a sculpture of a dragon.

Having fun with our nephew, Daxton. He calls me "Nessa" and he dragged me everywhere.

Cameron was his bud too, and he even got Daxton to be calm at times.

This amazing sculpture won first prize. Unfortunately, it had started to melt so we couldn't go inside.

A closer look at one of the trees.

More sculptures!

This amazing sculpture of a castle with a huge dragon won the grand prize. It was outside a hotel.

Brooklyn, Andy and Fam. Thanks guys for the awesome weekend!
