I have been so busy these last few months and there have been so many things going on that I would love to blog about. Instead, I am on my lunch break at work and can only make a quick list of things going on. This is kind of my journal, so this way I can remember what happened this year.
August 13: Hiked Table Rock with Cameron, his dad, uncle, cousins, and our dog, Oakley. He hurt his leg while hiking and is still limping!
August 20-23: Boyer family reunion and much-needed time spent with family.
August 28-29: Ryan Boyer family trip to Provo, UT for a vacation at Seven Peaks Water park. We had tons of fun and there are pictures on FaceBook.
August 29th: was sustained as Young Women president in my ward. I have loved working with the youth as advisors but this job is very overwelming. So many meetings. I am just glad I am still with my wonderful girls.
Sept 3-4th: Traveled to my grandma Tew's birthday party in Leslie, ID. She is 80 years old! My mom was in charge of the food and it was amazing. Oakley loved playing with all the kids.
September 16-19th: Cameron's dad needed help with farm stuff during Harvest and asked Cameron if he would go pick up some farm trucks in Wisconsin, stack them, and then drive them home. We both took time off work spur of the moment and flew to Appleton, WI and then drove home through I-94. We didn't get to do any tourist stuff on the trip, but it definitely an adventure. Hopefully I can post pictures soon. I figured I might as well go since we didn't have kids and I don't know if we'll ever have an opportunity like that again.
Last week and this week: crazy with church meetings and harvesting all of our garden. We have made a lot of salsa, frozen corn, frozen peaches (not from our garden) and have been able to eat a lot of other stuff. Our ward is also doing a Road Show this week and the youth are the ones participating, which makes Cameron and I very busy. (he is first counselor in Young Men.)
I also try to go to Zumba class once a week and that is my new favorite thing. It is an exercise class that is part hip-hop dance, part latin dance. My favorites! It has really caught on in our town and over 100 people show up on Tuesdays and Thursday nights.
Phew! I think I am now caught up on some of the big stuff going on! I will try to be better about posting.
