I love being a mom!

I love being a mom and feel so humble and grateful. Jacoby is such a wonderful baby and has such a sweet spirit. He smiles at me all the time and his new thing is to gie me "kisses," which are actually pulling my hair towards him and sucking on my chin or cheek. It's cute but pretty slobbery. Cameron and I are in awe with how much we love him and how much fun he is. And seriously, could there even be a cuter baby? I've posted a few pictures from the last month or so. The only complaint I have with him is he is growing too fast! He is already in 12 month clothes and weighs over 20 lbs! He will only be 6 months old in 9 days but he is a big boy. I love his chubby thighs and round tummy! He has been eating cereal since 4 months and I started baby food at five months, little bits at a time. He's working up to more each week and is doing well with all the veggies I've given him so far. I was just thinking yesterday that I really need to write down my feelings with how motherhood has affected me. I absolutely love doing everything to take care of my baby, including diaper changing, baths, and feeding. It's so fulfilling and I love getting to stay home and work IN MY HOME. I only work outside the home a few days a month and for only 6 hrs at a time. It is wonderful to stay home most of the time and play with Jacoby and Oakley.I sing to Jacoby all the time, read and tell him stories, and let him listen to tapes that are educational and fun. I enjoy them at least! Cameron has been gone most of July so I have also been doing a lot of lawn and garden work. That is fulfilling too and I have enjoyed picking and freezing raspberries and canning beans so far. The weeding is another story but it is satisfying when I can spend some time out there tackling them. Anyway, I am just grateful to be a mother and for the wonderful summer I have had with my family so far.

He is just so sweet! I think when you wait and long for a baby for so long you have a totally different perspective. All the everyday things are wonderful things and you are just so grateful to get to do them!
